The theme of our project was saying good bye. I did not really have specific role in the group. I just helped everyone in my group with their part. This is going to sound really dumb but the hardest part of this project was finding people to interview. NOBODY WANTED TO BE ON FILM! I think the easiest part was editing, because there were three other people helping edit. So the pressure wasn't just on one person.

Senior Farewell Projects

There are five people in my group; Ruth, Nasiim, Joyce, and Harman. We are going to interview seniors and ask them what their favorite memory of RCHS was? Who was their professor? What message do they have for the class of 2015? What tips would they give to the upcoming seniors? Joyce and Nasiim are going to filming/ Ruth will be editing. I will help film and find people who would be interested in shooting with us.

Capstone Presentations

The elements I had for my booth were my end of course questionnaire, take-home flyer, PSA, infographic, and my trifold. Before presentation had started, I was really nervous. I thought I was going to fail and that nobody was going to like my idea. Not a lot of people came to my stall, but those who did liked my idea, considering it was meant for children. I had two judges. I felt like one of the judges did not like my presentation, but the other seemed to have a good feeling about it. I was able to answer all the questions asked by my judges.

Capstone Assets

Despite having my PSA, infogaphic, and website I decided to have a trifold with a summary of my end product. Some other visual aids I can use are a end of course questionnaire that can help the teachers of my program understand how much the children have learned. If they have not learned something, then that will help us in making additional changes to my curriculum for the future. Another visual aid I plan on using is a take home flyer. The children will be required to take home a flyer with them. It is an invitation for the parents to come and learn how they influence their children's lives the most.

Infographic Poster

My poster was over my end product for my capstone. I am doing a bully intervention program where the bully will get help and become a better person. I did not have to do additional research in order to complete this poster. The easy things were that multiple images were used. The hard part was photo shopping. I had to create my info graphic this semester. I think I may still have some tweaking to do.

My info graphic will be on bullying. Most likely on my end product, bully intervention program. I may have a child bruised up with his parent yelling at him as the background. Another idea would be a picture of a child bullying his or her peer. I will have in big black BOLD letters bully forgotten- my end product. At the bottom I will have some contact information, with the location.

PSA Reflection

My PSA is on bullies. We don't always look at other sides of the story. The bully may not always be at fault. Maybe he or she was raised that way. To believe that they are superior. Or they may even be abused at home, therefore; they think it is okay to treat others that way. Whatever the reason, the bullies need help as well. Not just the victim. My PSA met the three requirements my teacher had set up. My PSA was over 30 seconds. It had animated text. And it had music in the background. From this experience I have learned that I should be prepared for back-up plans. And that I should give myself plenty of time. Making the prezi wasn't difficult at all. The hard part was converting it to a video. Overall, I think this was an enjoyable experience. I liked it. I hope everyone else likes my project as well.

PSA intent

My topic for my PSA is undecided. I'm confused over two subjects. One of them is on bullying and the other is cyberbullying. I'm not sure which one I want to choose. The audio that should be used for the PSA will be decided once the topic has been confirmed. But the visuals that will be used are going to be either young sad maybe bruised children. If the topic is cyberbullyiing then I will have a picture of a keyboard. The background will be pitch black for both topics. Because my topics are on types of bullying, my PSA is going to have a much more serious theme. Through my PSA, I'm going to try to portray bullying awareness and how to prevent it.

This PSA is very informative and tries to send off a message to the world. Ir's telling the public that girls are valuable. They want girls to have an identity of their own and become successful. Not just be known as a means of having a baby. The way the PSA was structured was pretty neat but at time the words would move so fast that it was hard to read the words. Also. some words would be too big to fit the screen and were difficult to understand.

This PSA was also very informative. It was telling the public to not drink and drive. Instead they should ride with someone else. Mutliple statics from the past and present were provided. The structure was simple, yet perfect. Such topics need simple themes with the message straight up and easy to understand.

Capstone Project Statement of Intent

The number one goal of my capstone project is to eliminate bullying in my local community. After this has been achieved I will try to make this project national.Bullying has always been a big issue in the US school systems. There have been multiple programs designed for children to understand this is wrong. Although the number of victims has decreased, we should not forget that bullying still exists. We cannot let young children suffer like that, whether it be the victim or the bully. My intended career is to become an elementary school teacher. Bullying starts out when children are young and leads to extreme measures as the years go by. My project will help the children of our society in understanding what humanity is and how to help mankind.
